Queer/Race

Architecture

Posted in Architecture by Keguro on February 1, 2010

This blog is an experimental supplement to “Queer Conceptions of Race,” a class I am teaching at the University of Maryland, College Park, in Spring 2010.

With guidance from me, the students enrolled in the class will be joining and creating new publics as they blog. Right now, we are still building the architecture of the blog.

A crucial part of this architecture involves deciding the kinds of sources that should go on the blogroll. I had asked blog participants to work in groups and identify a link they felt provided some interesting, ongoing news on race and sexuality, in various combinations.

The links that appear on the right under the blogroll create a fascinating conversation on what qualifies as queer-race knowledge.
